To address the issue, Corporation has come up with an initiative to introduce "geo tagging" of garbage collection vehicles.
Commenting on this CCMC Commissioner, J. Sravan Kumar said, "With regard to the accusations on garbage collection and dust bins not being cleared, we are striving hard to set right the issue. Complaints that the garbage collection vehicles do not go for garbage clearing regularly, we have planned of "geo tagging" the vehicles, shortly."
He added that "With this initiative, garbage vehicle movement can be effectively monitored by respective zonal officers. With stringent monitoring, vehicle drivers cannot get away without visiting any area and they have to clear bins on a timely manner."
